Suppose we can book E ticket Of Railway of any but due to some reason or situation we unable to travel that day then we want to cancel the ticket.Here , We can understand how to cancel the e-ticket of railway through IRCTC
STEP 1. If user wishes to cancel his e-ticket
Partial Cancellation
Partial Cancelaltion means do not cancel all the member or person of a ticket. For Example if you book E ticket of Railway that consist five member ( Mother ,Father,Son ,Sister ,brother) . Now if you wish cancel only two e-ticket (Mother and son ) of the e-ticket of Railway you Booked .This Cancellation refered to Partial Cancellation
User has to select only those passangers who are to be cancelled in case of partial cancellation of ticket. in case of partial cancellation the passanger should get a fresh printout of the ERS for the passangers continuing their journey.
STEP 1. If user wishes to cancel his e-ticket
- Go to IRCTC Website by click on this link IRCTC WEBSITE
- then Login by entering your user name and password.
- GO TO 'My Transactions' and Click 'Booked Ticket History' link on the menu bar,
- select the ticket to be cancelled and
- click on 'Go For Cancellation' and
- can initiate the cancellation by selecting the passengers to be cancelled
